Eco-Friendly Christmas Gift Guide
26th November 2021
As Christmas is getting closer we all begin to think about what gifts to buy all our loved ones. I’m a real lover of getting gifts that people really want. Or gifts that will give joy for more than one day. Sometimes it can be difficult to find inspiration so I thought I would share a few of my ideas. Grab a warm drink and enjoy my eco-friendly Christmas gift guide.
My eco-friendly Christmas gift guide includes some items I own and 100% love. Plus some of the other gifts I know my family and friends would adore. I’ve also tried to choose items from some smaller independent business’, as it is always lovely to support them at Christmas. You just know for every purchase they will be happy dancing around their studios.
For the nature lover
Treat your loved ones to something that will invite the wildlife into their garden year after year. With a gorgeous wooden birdhouse. Or maybe a membership to the National Trust. With individual passes and family ones, there is something for everyone to enjoy the whole year. It’s not just about the historic houses, there are many areas of beauty from hillside walks to coastal paths.
For the food lover
If you have a budding chef in the family, these eco-friendly zero waste and plastic-free pantry jars are perfect for storing their creations. Or how about a cooking lesson in your own kitchen? Learn some new dishes from expert refugee and migrant chefs from around the world. With Migrateful you can enjoy expert online teaching and help migrant chefs who are struggling to integrate and access employment. A gift that really gives to everyone involved.
For the Fashion lover
Loving fashion and being eco-friendly doesn’t always come hand-in-hand. As someone who loves clothes, I am re-educating myself to buy investment pieces from more eco-friendly and ethical companies, alongside buying pre-loved items. For example, why not treat someone to a classic wool jumper or a beautiful hand-crafted hairband.
For the interior lover
It was hard to just select two items for my eco-friendly Christmas gift guide. There are just so many stunning interior items out there these days, from small independent sustainable boutiques to handcrafted soy candles. There really is something for all the interior fans this Christmas.
For the book lover
I believe you can never go far wrong gifting a book. Transport your friend on an adventure with their favourite author. Help them learn something new or give them ideas for fun days out. I’m lucky enough to own both these books and can highly recommend them.
For the little ones
We can’t forget the little ones in our lives. How about some classic wooden dominos. Perfect for all the family to enjoy. If like me as a child they make great building blocks or domino rally challenges too. For the really young family members one of these beautiful dolls are perfect for snuggling. These dolls are from one of my absolute favourite independent business Mutha Hood.
For older Children
For any older children who love to craft, this scrunchie set is perfect. There is nothing nicer than to create something you can then wear and show off to your friends. Alternatively for kids who love to get outdoors why not gift a den kit and make some wonderful memories together.
Do you have some eco-friendly Christmas Gifts ideas you would love to share? why not let me know and I can add them to the list.
