This Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from us, sign-up for our newsletter or contact us.

What type of information we collect

To fulfil your order at Ellie and Liv, you must provide us with certain information, such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide us with additional personal wedding information to customise your wedding stationery.

We collect information from you when you place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, fill out a form or enter information on our site.

Why we need your information and how we use it

We collect your information from you when you register, make a purchase, place an order or sign up for our newsletter. To quickly process your transactions. To send periodic emails regarding your order or other products and services.

How we protect user information

We try our utmost to ensure any information you provide us with is safe and protected. However, unfortunately the sending of information via the internet is not always totally secure and on occasion such information can be intercepted. We cannot guarantee the security of data that you choose to send us electronically, sending such information is entirely at your own risk.

Data retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and as described in our Privacy Policy. However, we may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. We generally keep your data for the following time period: 5 years.

(b) We have a contractual obligation.

Information about our customers is important to our business. We share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Service providers. We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to our shop, such as delivery companies, fulfilment companies or printing companies. We will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.

Use of imagery

If you have placed an order with us, we may from time to time use examples of completed works to showcase on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest) or on our own website (www.ellieandliv.com). By completing a purchase from us, you are consenting to us using these images; we will always ensure that no personal details (such as emails, addresses, home addresses and phone numbers) are displayed in pictures on our website or on the third party websites listed above. We ensure that your wedding stationery items will not be used on any social media or on the Ellie and Liv website before you have sent out your items to your own guests and spoil your surprise for them.

If you would like us to remove any imagery of personalised products relating to your purchases or opt out of having your items being used by Ellie and Liv, please contact us and we will remove these immediately.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses ‘Cookies’ which are text files that are stored on your computer, to help analyse how users use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other with website and internet related services. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, unless required by law or where such third parties process the information on behalf of Google. Google will not associate your IP address with other data held by Google. You can refuse the use of cookies by changing the settings on your browser; however, we point out that you may not be able to use all features of this website in this case.

Email marketing

If you are opted in to receive marketing e-mails from us and wish to unsubscribe, you can do so by clicking on the Unsubscribe hyperlink at the bottom of the marketing e-mail you receive. We will note in our database that you have elected to opt out of future e-mails from our company. Your record will still remain in our database but you will not receive any future mailings unless we receive explicit consent from you.

If you choose to receive our newsletters by using the newsletter sign up box on our website (or you have given us explicit written consent at a promotional event), you may receive marketing emails including information such as new products, links to blog posts and special offers.

If you purchase an item from Ellie and Liv or enquire about a price, product or service and choose to opt in to our mailing service you will receive our newsletters, offers and promotions. At any time you can opt out, remove your details or be deleted from out data list by clicking on the Unsubscribe hyperlink at the bottom of the marketing e-mail you receive or contacting Ellie and Liv directly.

You do this through your browser (like Internet Explorer, Chrome) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser’s Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the change(s) on the Ellie and Liv website.
