When Daniel and Caitlin first got in touch they confessed one of the things they loved about this minimal wedding invite design was the fact it was printed on luxe recycled paper. This was a detail that was extremely important to them as a couple. Both are lovers of the environment and Daniel himself is a farmer.

Botanical Haze is the perfect combination of minimal design with a small botanical twist that brings in the inspiration of nature. Printed on a premium paper card, buttercream in colour with subtle white flecks, this card gives the design a sophisticated lift. Adding dimension and texture to this beautiful design.

For the couple to get a real taste of the style of this minimal wedding invite design and to feel this luxe recycled paper I sent them a sample of Botanical Haze. So together they could get a real feel for the design. From here we worked together to make this design their own and make sure the invitation got their guests really excited for their wedding day ahead.

Keen to help protect the environment and to save from printing on too much paper they chose to not have an RSVP card but to have a dedicated email address that their loved ones could easily reply to. To add a beautiful finishing touch we used a fine Kraft belly band that bound their invitation and details card together. With their wedding date on the bellyband along with a small botanical flourish to give it that extra elegant detail.

To add the perfect finishing touch Caitlin and Daniel chose a beautiful vintage green envelope to compliment the colours of their wedding.

At the time of designing, we were still living in restricted lockdowns. So to help Caitlin and Daniel feel comfortable about ordering the correct amount of invitations during this period we chatted about printing options and what would happen if we needed to reduce guest options. Leaving the printing time as close to their postage date as possible.

On the Day

Nearer Caitlin and Daniels’s wedding day I had the pleasure of working with them again to design their table plan. We left the final design close to their wedding date as we were still unsure of what numbers would be allowed for their wedding due to restrictions that were still in place. Thankfully as we got closer to the date all number restrictions were lifted so Caitlin and Daniel could have the wedding their always dreamt of.

Working with the same minimal wedding invitation design of Botanical Haze I design the table plan with the same fonts and botanical emblem as used on their invitations. This time introducing the green from the envelope into the font colour used on their table plan.

To keep things as environmentally friendly as we could we discussed various materials the table plan could be printed on and selected a beautiful eco-core board that is fully recyclable leaving zero waste after their wedding.

After the Wedding

I was delighted after the wedding when Caitlin and Daniel shared with me their amazing photographs by Phil Smith from their stunning wedding day. It is always such an honour when couples share their days with me. One of the greatest joys of my job is being able to help couples with a small part of their wedding journey.

Caitlin and Daniel wanted to thank all their guests in style, so selected some of their favourite photographs to be printed on their thank you cards. We again work with the minimal Botanical Haze design and printed on the same flecked card that we used on their wedding invitations. Posting them out in matching vintage green envelopes.
