Floral Barn Wedding Inspiration – The Hall Barns

Floral inspiration

Inspired by the rural location, our styled shoot took place on the most glorious of early Summer days bringing to life a rich palette of plum reds, moss greens and hints of peacock blues. Setting the theme, and the inspiration of the day was the stunning floral wedding gown from Ivory White Bridal.

Layers of wild loose florals from Big Day Blooms and Cakes filled the rooms with the heavy scent of Summer, using reclaimed wooden ladders to echo the barn’s rustic beginnings. Stunning wedding tablescapes, designed by the talented Sage and Belle, brought together the magic of entwined foliage and fairy lights with layers of soft gauze and moss, dotted with the earthy palette of candles and raffia mats.

The floral barn wedding stationery suite

Inspired by the embroidered dress and floral arrangements, I designed a rich watercolour invitation suite. Highlighting the floral design with a delicate watercolour wash of subtle pinks. Combined with the pillow soft hand-torn edges that mirrored the rustic charm of the barn wedding and rural location.

To divine colour palette was brought together and enhanced with my selection of deep plum envelopes. That gave a luxurious touch of a surprise with the hidden envelope liner that coordinated with the floral design.

The Hall Barns menu

With a floral tablescape of dreams, I designed a menu that would not fight with the florals but embrace and become part of them. Continuing the watercolour design and soft hand-torn finishing guests’ names were printed on a fine layer of vellum and tied together with soft dusky pink hand-dyed silk ribbon from the botanical dyer.
