25th September 2022
IMMERSE YOURSELF IN NATURE, AT A MAGICAL FOREST WEDDING. LET MOTHER NATURE PUT ON HER MOST SPECTACULAR DISPLAY. WHILST YOU EXCHANGE YOUR VOWS OUTDOORS IN A STUNNING WOODLAND CLEARING. A FOREST WEDDING IS A DREAM FOR ANY NATURE LOVER.
Last November, nestled in an ancient 200-acre forest. The most magical editorial-styled shoot took place at the Royle Forest wedding venue.
The stunning 5-peak tipi at the Royle Forest is truly one you will never forget. Journey through the ruined archway onto a fairy-lit path, and step into the hidden ceremony area. Let your guests shelter in seating areas surrounded by woodland, with their own personal fire pits. Royle Forest is designed around its natural habitat to minimise any impact on the environment. The owner, Fraser, has brought his vision to life in the most spectacular way. Respecting nature, believing if he takes care of it, it will take care of you.

Autumn wedding in the forest
Nothing is more romantic than a wedding in the woods. On this chilly Autumn day, magic came alive as the day turned into night. Inspired by the colours of the season and the surrounding trees. Muted, seasonal colours brought a dash of magic and drama to the shoot. The rust, burnt orange and copper colour palette with a touch of blush pinks threaded through every detail of the day. From the bridal and groom’s wear to the floral arrangements, table styling and wedding stationery.
The ceremony area was adorned with an Autumnal wild tumbling display of floral arrangements from Floral Design of Lichfield. A botanical theme followed through to the floral crowns bouquet, decorated hat and boutonniere for the groom
Candle-lit romance at your forest wedding reception
As the sun set, candles and fairy lights brought warmth to the chill of the night. The tablescape was full of richness and intensity. The talented stylist and planner Willow and Rust layered up soft flowing drapes and napkins in burnt orange. Set with golden cutlery, vintage cut glass and tall wooden candelabras. Wild, loose flowers felt as if they had grown around the setting. Gifting your guests with a dramatic, enchanted feast just out of a fairy tale.
Delicate sugar leaves twisted and danced around the modern-shaped three tiers of the wedding cake. Designed and created by Sally Marie Cakes.
As the evening progressed into full celebrations the brides took to the underfloor-lit dance floor.
Seeded paper stationery
Inspired by nature. The stationery mirrored the wild forest location with a modern, botanical design of twisting ivy. Hand-drawn in-house by Simone at Ellie and Liv. Printed in burnt orange on wildflower seeded paper. All the papers are laced with air-dried seeds and made from the residual cotton from the textile industry. This biodegradable paper will give back to the environment after the wedding day. Leaving nothing more than the joy of wildflowers in their guest garden next summer.
The wedding invitations and place names were finished and bound with a luxurious soft copper hand-dyed vegan bamboo ribbon.
