IMAGINE BRINGING THE SOOTHING SCENTS AND DELICATE BEAUTY OF HERBS STRAIGHT INTO YOUR KITCHEN. I’M EXCITED TO INTRODUCE MY NEW COLLECTION OF BOTANICAL HERB PRINTS, NOW AVAILABLE AT WALLSAUCE! FROM VELVETY SAGE TO RUSTIC THYME, THESE PRINTS WILL INFUSE YOUR SPACE WITH THE EARTHY CHARM AND VIBRANT COLOURS OF YOUR FAVOURITE HERBS.
The Inspiration Behind the Collection
Earlier this year, during the Make it in Design – Ultimate Portfolio Builder course, I was given the opportunity to create a collection of six botanical herb prints for a live brief for Wallsauce. The brief was to focus on food and the kitchen—naturally, my love for botanicals and cooking drew me toward herbs.
Being a bit of a foodie myself, I knew I wanted to capture not just the look but also the essence of herbs—their flavours, scents, and the simple magic they bring to everyday dishes. Deciding on just six was tricky, but I chose some of my absolute favourites: Coriander, Basil, Mint, Rosemary, Sage, and Thyme. Each illustration reflects the unique character of the herb, with fine line detailing and thoughtful colour accents that evoke their individual taste and aroma.
The inspiration behind my herb collection was to create simple, delicate pieces that could be viewed as a whole collection or enjoyed as a single piece. I want the prints to be not only a beautiful wall hanging but also educate the viewer on the scents and flavours that a herb could add to your favourite dish.
Each colour was selected to reflect the characteristics of each herb, but also bringing a calming, warmth to someone’s home. Imaging this collections could sit comfortably in both a country house or equally in a city apartment.
A Dream Collaboration with Wallsauce
To my delight, this collection was shortlisted in a group of six incredibly talented designers. After a public vote, I was thrilled to learn that my herb prints were selected as the winning collection. Now, they’re available for purchase on Wallsauce—an exciting milestone in my journey as an illustrator and surface pattern designer.
Bring a Bit of the Outdoors Inside
Whether you’re looking to enhance your kitchen with one standout piece or create a cohesive gallery wall, you can now purchase these herb prints in a range of sizes from A4 to A1. There’s also the option to frame them in natural wood, white, or black to perfectly complement your home’s interior.
I hope this collection brings as much joy to your home as it did to me while designing it. These prints are more than just decoration—they’re a way to connect with nature, elevate your cooking experience, and bring a sense of tranquillity into your everyday life.
And if there’s a herb you’d love to see featured in the future, I’d be delighted to hear your suggestions and add them to the Collection.
